University Of Texas Kappa Chapter House

The ZTA Kappa chapter at UT has a new smiling face greeting the girls as they enter the house on Nueces Street.Cathy Humphreys has served as the ZTA house mother since June.

Humphreys served as the Kappa Kappa Gamma house mother at Vanderbilt University for two years before accepting her position as the ZTA Kappa chapter house mother.

Before serving as a Kappa house mother, Humphreys worked as an interior designer.Humphreys is an Oklahoma City native but returned to Texas in 1995 by moving to Collyville near Dallas.

She has three daughters – April, Amy and Heather – and three grandchildren. Amy graduated from UT Law School in 2005.

Banner – The banner of the Fraternity is rectangular and made of turquoise and gray satin. It bears the letter “A,” the word “Themis” in Greek, and a burning torch. The meaning of the banner is secret, but it may be hung in a place that is visible to anyone entering a chapter house, lodge, suite or chapter room.
