Race for the Cure Training Group
Austin ZTA 5K Training is designed to help runners at all levels prepare for the Komen Race For The Cure. The running classes will be taught be Lauri Zachry and Ami Hooper. The training provides a complete program to support any runner’s effort to prepare for and complete a 5K. No previous running training or experience is required. Training will meet once a week, starting Tuesday, September 22nd, at Town Lake (park at the Statesman building and meet under the Congress Avenue bridge). The temps may still be saying “Summer,” but the arrival of Pink Yoplait Lids in the grocery stores are telling us Fall has arrived! Yoplait is celebrating the 11th Anniversary of Save Lids to Save Lives, and 2009 marks the 6th year ZTA has partnered in the campaign. The Pink Lid collection goal for the Austin Alumnae is 1,000 lids. With 10 weeks remaining in the campaign, this should be a very attainable goal for us!
