Kickoff

Sep 16 – 2010-2011 Alumnae Kickoff at the home of Mary Walcutt

Yaps & Apps

Monthly get together for young alumnae in an informal setting.

  • Aug 31 – 6-8pm, Abels on the Lake
  • Oct 27 – (following Trick-or-Treat) ~7:30pm Little Woodrows campus (for those without kids)
  • Nov 30 – 6-8pm, at the Melting Pot downtown

Founders’ Day

Oct 11 – evening, Founders’ Day: Kappa chapter: 2711 Nueces St., 78705 (512) 476-3774

Trick-or-Treat with ZTA

Oct 27 – 5:30-7:30pm, Trick-or-Treat at Kappa chapter: 2711 Nueces St., 78705 (512) 476-3774 (Yaps & Apps to follow)

Race for the Cure

To volunteer for RftC, contact Deborah Hoyes at service@austinzta.org.

  • Oct 24/25 – 15 volunteers are needed to stuff Survivor Bags
  • Nov 6 – 4-6pm, 10 volunteers are needed to set up the Survivor Tent
  • Nov 7 – 6-8am & 8-11:30am, 20-to-30 volunteers are needed to set up, prep flowers, serve/replenish food, assist with photo/videography, assists with “In Memory/Honor of” signs, hand out roses at the finish line, assist with cleanup and break down

Celebration of Life Luncheon

Nov 5 – 10:30am, Omni Hotel downtown

Holiday Party

Dec 14 – 7pm, Holiday Cookie Decorating at the home of Lara Burns & Natalie Paramores: 2109 Nickerson, 78704

Legacy Tea

Dear Austin ZTA Alumnae-

I want to welcome you to the ZTA Austin Alumnae chapter! We are gearing up for an exciting year of fun and service together and look forward to YOU joining us for the year. Our first big Kickoff Event to jumpstart membership will be September 16th (details on the website). This year’s officers have been working hard to plan a great year for the chapter from Celebration of Life Luncheon planning, to setting dates for Yaps and Apps, Monthly meetings, and much more! I hope to see you at our kickoff event and have you join this amazing group of women! Volunteers Needed – Lasagna Dinner for Kappa Chapter

Texas ZTA Work Week Dinner

Every year, the Austin ZTA alumnae help the Kappa chapter at the University of Texas with work week by preparing a lasagna dinner for the collegians.

  • Saturday, August 14, 2010
  • dinner served at 5:30pm
  • volunteer jobs start as early as 3pm and as late as 6:30pm
  • after dinner entertainment: recruitment skit practice by the talented young women of Texas ZTA

Zeta Facts

Crown – The five-pointed Crown is an official symbol of the Fraternity. The significance of the five points is revealed to each member upon her Initiation. Many examples of crown artwork can be found within ZTA, and all are acceptable as long as the crown contains exactly five points.
