Welcome

To my dear Zeta Sisters,

Hello and welcome to the Austin Alumnae chapter of ZTA 2011- 2012 year! It seems hard to believe that in just a few short weeks we will be getting together for our famous Fall Kickoff! As I write this note to you, our Alumnae Board is busy at work preparing a wonderful year for all of you! When I met with this group of ladies in July I knew immediately that this group is headed for great success! Each one of these ladies inspires me on a daily basis with their commitment to our chapter and their new and fantastic ideas!

It is with them in mind that I introduce our theme to you this year. The 2011 ZTA National Convention urged our members to “Create the Change” and I can’t imagine a more perfect motto for our group this year. Our group is striving to “create the change” by increasing our membership, creating meaningful programming that fosters new personal relationships and continuing our commitment to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation.

Create the ChangeOne of the first ways you’ll see us “Create the Change” this year will be in our communication to you! Look forward to fall and spring paper newsletters highlighting our schedule,  as well as a fabulous new monthly e-newsletter called Crown Connections that will keep you up to date on what your fellow sisters are up to, when we’re meeting next, and how you can get involved! In order for this new commitment to communication to work, we’ll need the most current email address and home address for every member. Please be sure to update us when these things change! Please email: vp_membership@austinzta.org.

Other changes you’ll notice this year include adding new events to our mix of programming as well as changes to our annual Celebration of Life Luncheon (see below for more information) and new options for paying dues and RSVPing to events.

Hopefully you’ll see that we’re taking National President Keeley McDonald Riddle’s suggestion to “Create the Change” seriously and you’ll join us in this effort! We look forward to “Creating the Change” with you this year!

All my best and sending lots of Zeta love,
Lindsay Taylor
