Panhellenic Cookbooks on Sale to Raise Money for Scholarships

Please help support the Austin Alumnae Panhellenic Association (AAPA) Scholarship Fund with the purchase of a cookbook!  The cookbooks, titled “From Our Kitchen to Yours” contain collections of 3×5  size recipes cards, there are 100’s of mouth watering recipes from Alumnae around Austin and even some of the coveted house kitchen recipes. Over the past 10 years, five scholarships have been provided to Zetas from AAPA.  We only give one or two a year depending on the amount of money we raise with our fundraisers. The Austin Alumnae Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha formally invites you to kick off the year at the home of Mary Walcutt on September 17th at 6:30 p.m. Join us for a light dinner and learn about all the exciting activities we have planned for the women of ZTA this year! This year, we will be collecting all types of school supplies for the “For the Children” group; a non-profit organization that serves 10 Central Texas school districts in need. 2008 Kick-Off Party

The first meeting for the 2008-2009 year was a great success. 60+ members gathered at Mary Walcutt’s house on the evening of September 11th for a light dinner and meeting to discuss the year’s events. Great focus was turned to the new events included in the schedule as well as the Celebration of Life Luncheon. Members also generously donated boxes full of school supplies that were donated to the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders. If you couldn’t make it, we’d love to see you at the next event. National News

Austin Alumnae member, Dinah Laughery, was elected and installed as the new Secretary-Treasurer for the National Council during Convention this summer in Tucson, Arizona. Also at National Convention, the Austin Alumnae chapter was recognized in the Founder’s Club for donating $25,000 to $49,999 to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation over the biennium. We were also honored as a Crown Chapter. Congratulations!
